Job Description
At Nielsen, our obsession with understanding consumer behavior through technology is what motivates us. As part of our Revenue Operations Technology team, the Salesforce Business Analyst will serve as a strategic liaison between global business business units and the Salesforce platform team, reporting directly to the Salesforce Product Owner. In this role, you will lead cross-functional requirement gathering, process optimization, and value-mapping initiatives to ensure the Salesforce ecosystem drives measurable operational efficiency and global revenue growth. You will partner closely with international stakeholders to streamline disparate processes, translate complex business needs into rigorous user stories, and ensure our solutions remain agile and scalable. By bridging the gap between business strategy and execution, you will directly influence the corporate Salesforce roadmap, optimize global KPI reporting, and identify cutting-edge opportunities for autonomous AI automation.
Responsibilities
Global Requirement Gathering: Lead cross-functional discovery workshops with global business teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs); translate complex business needs into refined user stories, acceptance criteria, and comprehensive process maps.
Process Optimization & Governance: Analyze, design, and streamline global business workflows within Salesforce to eliminate manual data redundancy, increase sales and support productivity, and establish robust data governance.
Thought Leadership & Solutioning: Provide technical and functional thought leadership on Salesforce best practices, challenging stakeholders when necessary to guide them toward flexible, sustainable, and scalable solutions.
AI Transformation (Agentforce): Proactively evaluate existing business processes and user friction points to identify opportunities where Agentforce autonomous AI agents can drive operational efficiency.
Enterprise Integration Alignment: Partner with business and technical teams to research, document, and validate Salesforce enhancements that intersect with enterprise platforms, specifically SAP S/4HANA.
Stakeholder Alignment & Consensus: Document and present technical solutions, business cases, and workflow changes to executive stakeholders to secure alignment, drive platform adoption, and gain formal sign-offs.
Testing, Validation & Training: Support the broader QA and project implementation teams by validating solution designs against original business requirements, participating in UAT, and crafting foundational training materials.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Salesforce Core Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience as a Business Analyst within an enterprise-level Salesforce.com environment (Sales, Service, or Experience Clouds).
Enterprise Platform Exposure: Proven experience gathering requirements and mapping data flows for complex multi-system integrations, with direct experience involving SAP S/4HANA highly preferred.
Business Process Engineering: Demonstrated mastery in business process mapping, UI/UX gathering, and aligning disparate global teams on unified, streamlined workflows.
Agile & Technical Literacy: Deep experience working inside Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks, with high proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and collaborative documentation suites (Google Workspace/MS 365).
Consultative Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills; a proven ability to confidently ask critical questions, challenge status-quo workflows, and "bulletproof" proposed designs.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or a related field.
