Job Description

Nielsen is looking for a high-impact, tech-forward Administrative Business Partner (ABP) to support our executive leadership. This is not a traditional "clerical" role; we are seeking a strategic "right hand" who functions as the soul of the executive’s office. You will be at the heart of business operations, anticipating needs before they arise and navigating high-stakes environments with poise and tech-driven efficiency.

You won’t just manage a calendar; you will optimize workflows, lead special projects, and act as a bridge between the executive and global cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate treats administration as a craft and is obsessed with creating the organizational structures that allow our leadership to focus on driving the future of media analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Calendar & Workflow Management: Architect and manage a complex, global calendar. You will act as a strategic gatekeeper, triaging requests and ensuring the executive's time is aligned with Nielsen's highest-priority business goals.
  • Technical Operations & Process Optimization: Champion the executive’s digital ecosystem. You will be responsible for mastering and optimizing our tech stack (Google Workspace, Gchat, and project management tools) to automate routine tasks and improve team-wide efficiency.
  • High-Stakes Project Management: Lead "special projects" from inception to completion. This includes coordinating board-level presentations, managing executive-led initiatives, and ensuring action items from critical leadership meetings are tracked and executed.
  • Complex Global Logistics: Orchestrate intricate international travel and multi-city itineraries. You will manage the "un-manageable"—handling last-minute changes, visa requirements, and technical setups for remote presence in various time zones.
  • Executive Communications: Draft, edit, and proofread high-level correspondence, internal announcements, and presentation decks. You will ensure the executive's voice is consistent and professional across all digital platforms.
  • Financial & Resource Oversight: Manage executive budgets, track departmental expenses, and oversee vendor relationships. You will provide monthly reporting on resource allocation to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Meeting & Event Production: Beyond just booking a room, you will lead the production of executive offsites, town halls, and high-stakes client dinners, ensuring every technical and logistical detail is flawless.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience supporting C-Level executives, preferably within a global technology or SaaS environment.
  • Advanced Tech Proficiency: Mastery of Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs) and enterprise collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Salesforce). Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau) or automation tools (Zapier) is a significant plus.
  • Exceptional Business Judgment: The ability to make high-level decisions autonomously and handle sensitive, confidential information with absolute discretion.
  • Problem-Solving Prowess: A "figure-it-out" mindset. You excel in ambiguous situations and can pivot quickly when priorities shift.
  • Project Leadership: Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and hit deadlines without constant oversight.
  • Communication Excellence: Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interact confidently with Board members, external partners, and employees at all levels.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; a background in Business Administration or Technology is preferred.
