Job Description
The Candidates should be able to:
- Work with the Administrator/ School Principal/Directress to ensure the smooth day‐to‐day running of the classroom.
- Ensure the Montessori philosophy is practiced and enhanced at all times.
- Direct and guide the students to ensure they are learning and applying the knowledge.
- Promote the welfare of the children in your care.
- Act as a role model for the School with parents and other external customers. Keep the Administrator/Director informed of significant and unusual issues as they arise.
- Work with the Principal/Directress to develop and maintain the school Montessori program, utilizing the prescribed scheme with themed weeks, achieving annual programs on time, and organizing outings.
- Ensure that the school / Montessori programs are followed on a day‐to‐day basis. This will include mealtime, circle time, arts & craft, songs, and other in-curricular activities.
- Ensure general child stimulation using all equipment at your disposal and keeping the levels proportionate.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed, and all relevant forms, from and for parents, are completed and collected daily. For example medical administration form, daily report sheets,incident reports etc.
- Escalate queries from parents to Directress / Administrator/ Principal.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience within a Montessori / Preschool setting.
- Competent in Arts & Crafts.
- Ability to keep the Montessori/Preschool environment to the required standard Ability to plan ahead.
- Knowledge of childcare and the required Health & Safety and Policy & Procedures standards in a Montessori/Preschool setting.
- First Aid certified.
