Job Description
Location: Remote / US highly Preferred
Duration: 6 Months+
Job Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Multi-region, Multi-AZ deployment for Windows Servers
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server migration to AWS Cloud
- Automating builds for Windows EC2 IIS farm management and configuration on EC2 multi-az. Experience with SQL, .Net framework, COM+ with DTC support.
- Managed AD or unmanaged clustered AD configured as standalone EC2 instance with migration experience for highly customized schema.
- Network management experience.
- SQL Server setup and migration experience as managed SQL or SQL clustered on EC2 instances.
- Experience with SQL replications. MSMQ support with EC2 in domain mode.
- Knowledge of CloudEndure or other similar tools (DMS / SCT, etc..) to analyze and help migrate multi-purpose machines as EC2 instance setups.
Application high level overview tech stack:
- Monolith application running on Windows IIS farm with SOAP, WCF, WebForms in .Net and Classic ASP on top of .Net and C++ with COM+ and DTC support.
- High level dependencies are AD with customized schema, MSMQ in Domain and local modes, SQL Server (custom replications), DFS Workflow type farm with multiple type of services like: File Transfer service: folder watches, FTP and SFTP connections/watchers, Schedulers, Listeners to various queuing systems
- Distributed messaging services PoC high level summary
- Build multi-AZ for the key infrastructure dependency services:
· Active Directory, SQL Server, MSMQ domain mode, DFS, IIS Farm setup and workflow server setup or alternative managed services from AWS if possible.
· Prepare multi-region setup for DR along with replication flow for SQL Server and AD.
· Prepare networking infrastructure for interaction between dependency services.
· Automatically orchestration of workflow services across multiple machines and multiple az/regions.
