Job Description

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role is responsible for the following:

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Design electrical systems for our products.
    • Work across multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Support R&D with ongoing projects.
    • Collaborate with Test and Compliance, Mechanical Design, Automation, Electrical Operations, NPD projects, and Production teams to provide customer solutions.
    • Bring strong organizational and communication skills to work alongside multiple departments.

    Qualifications

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Experience:
      • Minimum 5 years in product development and design manufacture, preferably in the refrigeration or HVAC industry.
      • Strong practical experience and command of electrical design principles and standards (AS/NZS3000, AS/NZS3008).
      • Knowledge of AS/NZS60335, CISPR14.1, and IEC61000-6-8 is advantageous.
    • Skills:
      • Proficiency in CAD, preferably AutoCAD Electrical and Inventor.
      • Familiarity with DFMEA, BOM systems, and MRP.
      • Ability to distill market requirements from project design briefs into clear design requirements, specifications, and plans.
      • Strong communication and leadership skills.
      • A self-starter with a can-do attitude and a hands-on problem-solving approach.
    • Qualifications:
      • Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Industrial Design or Product Design (Masters preferred)
