Job Description
This position is located on our sub-assembly line, where you’ll be responsible for fabricating production parts and shaping copper tube components. These components are then prepared for assembly in other internal departments as part of the air conditioner manufacturing process.
Reporting to the Sub-Assembly line foreman, this busy hands-on role will require you to be across the following tasks:
- Braze sub assembled components
- Fabricate sub assembled components
- Follow job sheets and engineering drawings
- Cleaning, washing and drying components and pipes
- Demonstrate and follow safe work practices
- Inspect components for quality assurance prior to deliver to next department
- Provide flexibility by working in all areas of production as needed
Qualifications
What you will bring to the role
You will have experience and skillsets in the following:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and dimensions.
- Ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fabrication and brazing
- Strong understanding of safe work practices is essential
- Priority will be given to candidates with a New Zealand driver’s license, reliable transport, and work eligibility
