About the role

As the Operations Engineer you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering activities and projects aiming at promoting the flow of materials through an uninterrupted operation. You will work closely with the production and maintenance leaders and their teams to continuously monitor and review production performance and offer activities/projects to increase effectiveness and efficiency.

Being expert in the constraints of technology and work processes on the production floor, you will also work closely with the Product Development team being the voice of production to achieve the best Design for Manufacture and Assembly of new products to be introduced.

What you will bring to the role

To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter who is familiar with a variety of engineering concepts, practices, and processes with a command of Lean Manufacturing, Problem Solving and Project Management techniques. You will have an engineering degree (bachelor with honours or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related engineering degree.

You will have a thorough understanding of ERP systems (EPICOR is a bonus) as well as BOM/MOM processes. Your ability to think creatively, adapt to evolving situations, and work within a team environment is the key to succeed in this role.

This role is a full-time position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday based at our Mangere manufacturing site. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
