Job Description

The Opportunity

As an Event Coordinator, you play a key role in bringing the Techo-Bloc brand to life through live experiences. You help deliver high-impact events that educate the hardscape community, showcase our products, and strengthen relationships with contractors, Techo-Bloc distributors, and partners across Canada and the United States

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys logistics and execution, and takes pride in creating memorable, high-quality experiences that reflect a premium brand. From the first planning call to the final teardown, you’ll work closely with a high-performing team to ensure every event is organized, on time, on brand, and executed to a high standard.

You’ll travel regularly throughout the year and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver promotional and educational events that drive engagement, adoption, and growth.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

You’ll support the planning and execution of events from start to finish — ensuring strong coordination across timelines, budgets, vendors, and on-site operations.

You will:

  • Contribute directly to the success of our B2B Marketing strategy and brand growth
  • Build strong relationships with attendees, partners, sponsors, and vendors
  • Coordinate and deliver multiple events simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ensure each event is executed smoothly, professionally, and in a way that makes Techo-Bloc stand out

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of promotional and educational event strategies and related projects from start to finish
  • Manage multiple event-related projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, timelines, deliverables, and expectations are clearly defined and tracked
  • Use project management tools to plan, monitor, and communicate progress, timelines, and dependencies
  • Manage venue invoicing and ensure contracts with business partners are fulfilled accurately and on time
  • Coordinate with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution
  • Support event budget planning and tracking while maintaining timelines and priorities
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and service providers; negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements within approved budgets
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (campaign managers, content creators, social media managers, marketing automation experts, project coordinators, etc.) and external partners (freelancers and agencies)
  • Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and gaps — and act quickly to resolve them
  • Implement contingency plans as needed to mitigate risk
  • Own key administrative and coordination tasks, including stakeholder communications, payment schedules, BEOs, and travel bookings
  • Support and execute on-site operations for in-person events in Canada and the U.S.
  • Conduct post-event analysis and reporting, evaluating performance against key metrics and objectives

A Day in the Life

No two days are ever the same — but your day might include:

  • Confirming venue details and aligning logistics for upcoming events
  • Coordinating materials and on-site needs with internal teams (graphics, merchandise, architectural teams)
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions to refine event flow, experiences, surveys, and platform setup
  • Managing multiple projects and priorities while staying organized and proactive
  • Solving challenges in real time to ensure flawless execution

If you enjoy a fast pace, shifting priorities, and being the person who makes things happen — you’ll feel right at home.

Qualifications

Who Will Thrive in This Role

  • Enjoys both planning and being on the ground during events
  • Is comfortable taking ownership and solving problems in real time
  • Stays calm, organized, and professional under pressure
  • Takes pride in execution, details, and follow-through
  • Enjoys working with multiple stakeholders and building strong relationships
  • Is energized by travel, variety, and hands-on work

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong availability to travel, particularly during Q1, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Valid passport and ability to travel to the U.S.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work extended hours during event setup and teardown
  • Hands-on experience in event operations and logistics
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and professionalism when working with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and structured work habits
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Teamwork, Asana, Monday, or similar)
  • Tech-savvy with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent French and English communication skills, written and verbal (due to frequent communication with employees in Quebec, Ontario, and the United States)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
