Job Description

Techo-Bloc’s IT team is growing and we are looking for an Application Support Specialist with a dynamic and go getter personality to act as the main resource for all functional, application and user support related issues for our ERP Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 system (migrating to D365 in 2025). The successful candidate will be collaborating and working alongside a team of 10 + team members located in Canada and US.

Main responsibilities:

Client support (approx. 50% of your time)

  • Provide direct and continuous support and assistance to Dynamics AX end users to ensure reliable and efficient business operations;
  • Act as the primary contact for all functional and application AX support;
  • Work with end users on all functional modules and provide desktop coaching and training on procedures and apps as needed.

 Functional / Technical support (approx. 50% of your time)

  • Maintain AX documentation, standards and translate the business knowledge to functional requirements in a timely manner;
  • Perform Security Administration and set up for Dynamics AX;
  • Perform general technical troubleshooting/debugging and provide consultation to Finance/Accounting teams;
  • Understand business requirements and documents any workaround solutions for functions and processes creating issues;
  • Collaborate and works closely with the Development team to facilitate communication and understanding of business processes and system functionality;
  • Work closely with the entire IT Team on developing permanent or temporary solutions to resolve and prevent recurring issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or College degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or equivalent certifications and work experience.
  • three (2) to five (3) years of ERP experience in a support/administrative role with involvement in some technical database or development tasks preferred (Dynamics AX and/or D365 F&O, a plus)
  • One(1) to three(3) years of CRM experience in a support/administrative role with involvement in some technical database or development tasks preferred (Dynamics 365 Sales, a plus).
  • Ability to communicate well both orally and in written English/French.
  • strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to handle sudden changes in project/priority and multiple tasks simultaneously and under pressure in a positive manner.
  • Proficiency at learning business processes.
  • Well-rounded exposure and understanding to multiple ERP modules.
  • Experience with manufacturing company processes, a plus.
  • Understanding of Intercompany transactions, a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, a plus.
