Job Description

Techo-Bloc is the leading manufacturer in the hardscape materials manufacturing space. We manufacture some of the most unique, stylish and durable precast concrete products on the market so that professional landscape contractors, designers and architects can create amazing outdoor living spaces for their clients. We are known for bringing game-changing products to the market and for our incredible educational support for the professional community. The flagship initiative that is used to build a strong community of professionals, introduce new products and innovations, as well as bring skill-building education to the market is called Hardscaper Showcase. We are hiring a Marketing Project Manager role to help lead the creation, development and successful roll out of our event-based campaigns, with Hardscaper Showcase being the main focus. This role will also play a role in leading other event-based marketing projects like smaller, more local events from pros, training events, and trade shows (we always aim to win "Best Booth"). They'll be expected to contribute to project briefs, lead kickoff meetings, manage sizable budgets ($3M+), conduct workload planning and risk mitigation. 

The successful candidate will be part of the B2B Marketing Team which includes a dedicated Events team composed of four Event Coordinators and an Events Manager. Their main collaboration will be within this team, but they will also frequently collaborate with our in-house architect, graphic, content, digital and operations teams, as well as build a strong relationship with our sales team. In all, our marketing department has nearly 40 team members, so they'll be well supported.

Project Management responsabilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of event-based marketing campaigns, particularly the Hardscaper Showcase.
  • Collaborate with the Events team, as well as internal teams including architecture, graphic design, content, digital, and operations.
  • Build strong relationships with the sales team to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with business objectives.
  • Contribute to project briefs, lead kickoff meetings, and manage project budgets exceeding $3 million.
  • Conduct workload planning and risk mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Negotiates contracts and manages work and payments of vendors.
  • Create briefs and advise creative (visual and copy) on asset creation.

Qualifications

  • University or College degree in business administration, marketing or communications.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role in marketing and project management/coordination.
  • Bilingual – French & English (English is required to serve our clients in the United States).
  • Proven track record in managing marketing event campaigns. 
  • Ability to manage several large-scale projects.
  • Project management software experience, an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
