Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00PM - 4:00AM
- Installs, diagnoses, services and repairs electrical equipment.
Applies knowledge and ability to use hand tools and operate test equipment such as test meters, watt meters, ammeters, voltmeters or ohmmeters per established procedures.
Reads and understands wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits and ensures proper operation per manufacturer's specifications.
Be able to utilize every tool, which may include drills, mechanical saws, sanders, welders, cutting torches, presses and buffers.
Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
Calibrates timers and thermostats and adjusts contact points as indicated.
Replaces worn or defective parts such as switches, pumps, motors, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, heating elements and defective wiring.
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all PC cabinets. Ensures proper functioning and completes any preventative measures as needed.
Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies. Orders needed supplies in accordance with department requisition guidelines.
Maintains work areas and electrical cabinets in a neat and clean manner. Ensures all maintenance supplies are stored in appropriate areas at end of each day.
Maintains appropriate communication with management to ensure efficient and timely service.
Completes and submits service documentation each day with the relevant service information.
Provides research for part prices/availability, manufacturer's specifications, warranty status, estimate approval or other related items for customers as required.
Always maintains professional appearance and displays exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.
Determines and explains nature/time and cost of repairs to management in a clear manner to avoid miscommunication.
Attends and participates in technical meetings as directed.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Must have up to 3 years’ experience as an electrician working in an industrial environment.
Must have expertise with PLC Controls.
Experience in Automation, conveyors, and artificial intelligence expertise.
Awareness of operational machinery problems in short proximity.
Strong mechanical, analytical, and solution driven skills.
Possess strong electrical and mechanical abilities.
Critical Thinking: once a problem is identified, an industrial electrician should be able use critically thinking skills to solve them problem efficiently and safely.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Windows S7 Program.
