Our sister entity, a US-based marketing consultancy that builds business experiences that  drive growth through the convergence of digital marketing, user experience design, and technology enablement, is seeking an experienced UX Design Director to manage and grow our experience design practice.

We are looking for a UX design director who is able to quickly interpret business needs and client briefs and turn them into compelling brand experiences. Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, the successful candidate will excel at working  under tight deadlines while overseeing multiple projects across a number of accounts. They must be a skilled manager and  a hands-on resource when necessary, and they must be an effective communicator, especially when it comes to relaying creative concepts internally and externally.

As UX Design Director you will:

• Distill abstract business concepts and client needs into elegant solutions
• Effectively communicate interaction and design specifications to the development / technology team for implementation, and verify that the final build is consistent with those specifications
• Take responsibility for output standards across team members who work under them
• Pitch ideas confidently and present concepts to clients and internal stakeholders, as well as communicate in the same manner to members of the design team.
• Have strong people management and leadership skills in order to hire, develop, and inspire the design team.
• Ensure that all of the organization’s or client’s output/visuals are consistent with the overall brand.
• Lead multiple design projects from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
• Ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas.

To be Qualified you must have:

• Fluency in spoken and written English
• A degree in a visual, experience design, or web development or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a senior-level designer. Preference will be given to candidates who have agency experience.
• Sufficient experience with front-end web development including HTML/CSS and content management systems to understand the possibilities and limitations of various platforms, and communicate clearly and efficiently with technical resources. Special consideration will be given to candidates that have experience with WordPress and/or HubSpot CMS.
• Experience with developing and presenting design artifacts including wireframes, sitemaps, low and high fidelity prototypes and comps.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite applications, including  XD, Illustrator, inDesign, and Photoshop
• Ability to work with clients and internal stakeholders  to understand detailed requirements and determine a plan to ensure they are met or exceeded.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate the creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders, internal teams, and clients.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting, including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete designs and prototypes, and ensure that the finished product is consistent with the guidance provided to the technical team.
• Extensive supervisory experience (including leadership, team-building, and delegation) leading and managing a creative team.
• Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
• Be open to providing and  receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
