PROJECT BACKGROUND Institution and Programs

Current IT Environment

OSAP is currently supported by a series of custom developed application systems that run on AS/400 technology.   In the last few years, web enabled applications have been supported, and over 95% of applications are now received via the web.

New Environment

The new operating environment will use JEE, Websphere. Oracle 10g, ILog rules engine, Stellent Content Manager, MQ/JMS and mercury Testing tools.  The solution will be based on Sun hardware, Sun Solaris operating system, and Sun SAN storage and involves integration with AS400.

CLIENT’S REQUIREMENTS

• ·           Provide expert advice in developing and integrating process and information models to enable identifying and eliminating redundant business processes.

•   Identify new business functions/solutions and documents the business requirements.

• Participate in the development of business/system integration strategies.

•   Provide technical leadership to business analysts, architects and system development teams.    

• Provide specialized technical expertise in the overall analysis of the design and architecture of systems solutions based on strong hands-on experience

•   Identify short and long-term project goals/objectives, and as a senior technical expert, identifies and defines program and service delivery requirements in support of the development and/or acquisition of applications    

• Lead the analysis, development and documentation of design and architecture of systems solutions

•   Lead the development of testing, integration and implementation of systems solutions into the

clients’ applications
