• Own and manage end-to-end reporting, planning, and forecasting processes for G&A functions, delivering insightful cost analysis and performance measurement in close collaboration with Finance Business Partners and Global Controllers across Basel and Pune.
• Support global finance coordination including yearly planning cycles, master data management, and cross-functional process alignment across Syngenta's finance network.
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of month-end reporting packages, Annual Budget, and monthly Rolling Forecast activities with professional coordination. Support data gathering and tracking across functional projects to enable informed decision-making.
• Manage end-to-end budget and planning activities including data collection, input, approval, and SAP FI/CO consolidation in line with Syngenta accounting policies, with monthly analysis and commentary to cost center owners. Support Budget owners, Finance Business Partners, and Global Controllers in preparing, tracking, and reporting business cases.
• Responsible for the timely preparation and execution of monthly closing and group reporting, delivering high-quality management reports to all supported functions in line with Syngenta policies.
• This includes providing analysis and commentary to Group Reporting, HQ units, and Finance Business Partners, while ensuring costing, charging principles, and project accounting (capital/revenue split, invoicing, and amortization) are correctly maintained and applied.
• Leverages technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness across all controlling processes.

• 6-8 years of relevant experience in Finance Controlling or Financial Planning and Analysis, preferably a CA or MBA (Finance)
• Understanding of IFRS. Understands impact of multiple financial controlling tasks on business.
• Must have worked on SAP. Excellent SAP consolidation or equivalent consolidation and reporting system.
• Able to work independently at high quality standard (incumbent will operate from India whilst other global controller colleagues will be mainly Basel based).
• Experience with working in an international matrix organization, preferably with shared services. Able to work in a global environment
• Microsoft office package, especially Excel.
• English: must be excellent, including ability to present in front of a larger audience (incumbent will operate from India whilst key stakeholders will be based in Basel and around the globe).
• Ability to understand fundamental controlling processes / functions in a global company
• Experience as operating in a process driven and collaborative working environment
• Concern for high standards and data accuracy.
• Able to meet complex customer requirements
• Able to analyze end to end processes to get transparent and reliable management information.
• Able to work independently at high quality standard (incumbent will operate from India whilst other global controller colleagues will be mainly Basel based).
