Job Description
Required Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in SBC, SIP, or VoIP engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Ribbon SBC platforms (Edge, SWe, SWe Lite)
- SIP, RTP, SRTP
- Codec negotiation and media flows
- NAT, firewall traversal
- Experience integrating SBCs with:
- Microsoft Teams
- Cisco Webex
- PSTN/SIP carriers
- Strong troubleshooting skills in voice and signaling environments.
Key Responsibilities
SBC Implementation & Integration
- Deploy, configure, and support Ribbon SBC platforms (SBC 1000/2000, SWe Edge, SBC SWe Lite).
- Implement SBC integrations for:
- Microsoft Teams Direct Routing
- Cisco Webex Calling & Webex DI
- SIP trunking with PSTN carriers
- Configure:
- SIP normalization rules
- Call routing and dial plans
- Media and signaling security
- NAT, firewall traversal, and codec policies
Voice & UC Connectivity
- Integrate SBCs with:
- CUCM
- Microsoft Teams
- Cisco Webex
- Avaya, Nortel, or legacy PBXs
- Support number porting, call routing validation, and failover testing.
- Assist with site turn-ups, migrations, and cutovers.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
- Maintain configuration standards, call flows, and topology diagrams.
- Provide handover and training to NOC and operations teams.
- Support audits and customer documentation requests.
