Sydney Airport is at the heart of Australia’s aviation network, connecting millions of passengers and businesses to the world. As an Infrastructure & Capacity Planning Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the airport’s future, providing data-driven insights that drive efficiency, optimize capacity, and support strategic infrastructure investment.
In this role, you’ll contribute to both short-term operational improvements and long-term infrastructure planning, working across Group Operations and key airport functions. Your expertise in data analysis, simulation modelling, and capacity planning will help enhance productivity, guide capital projects, and influence major development decisions.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for
- Providing analytical insights to support airport projects by optimising operational efficiency, enhancing capacity, and ensuring flexibility
- Performing throughput and capacity analysis, utilising advanced modelling and simulation techniques to evaluate design scenarios, and conducting trend and benchmarking analyses to align with industry standards
- Supporting data-driven decision-making across project phases, from requirement development to phasing major programs, and effectively communicating findings and recommendations to a range of stakeholders
- Building strong cross-functional relationships to drive insights and support key initiatives
About you
- A degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Operations Research, and/or Aviation Management is essential
- Demonstrates a strong analytical mindset with the ability to process large data sets, identify trends, and derive actionable insights
- Communicates effectively with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, ensuring alignment with local, national, and international standards
- Displays a passion for Excel with advanced proficiency
- Brings previous experience in aviation or airport design (beneficial but not mandatory) or demonstrates adaptability and a capacity to contribute to planning efforts from a diverse background
- Embodies a collaborative and curious spirit, ready to work with teams across different functions to achieve common goals
