Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the ASN Website Designer is to create and update a primary website for the Arab Student Network and to teach the student group how to update and maintain the website.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Create website designs that are easy-to-update, user-friendly, effective and appealing ;

  2. Meet with ASN executives to discuss requirements and/or project progress. As well, recommending that certain structures and/or graphics be implemented to the ASN website, to make it more user-friendly, effective and appealing;

  3. Demonstrate and receiving feedback about draft sites from members of the executive team;

  4. Follow the production of a website, teach members of the student group strategies for effective website management and regular web maintenance;

  5. Assist in the production of informational content regarding website management and updating for student groups.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  1. The Club Website Designer must have experience working with HTML and CSS and must have a familiarity with Wordpress and/or other website builders;

  2. Experience with graphic design assets ;

  3. Reliability, integrity, strong planning skills, high degree of organization skills, strong analytical and communicative skills.

Additional Information

  • Paid position: $14.44
  • Contract dates: October, 2021 to May 31st, 2022;
  • Hours: 4 hours per week
  • Application closes October 15th, 2021.
