With over 20,000 members, SSMU’s role is to represent undergraduate students and to offer them services since 1908.

Reporting to the Communications Manager, the responsibility of the Graphic Designer is to create digital and print artwork for the SSMU.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Create web or print media graphics to promote the Students’ Society and its campaigns/events;

2) Coordinate project deadlines with the Communications Manager;

3) Work with the Communications Manager or appropriate parties to develop, refine and finalize artwork for the Students’ Society;

4) Assist SSMU clubs and services with their graphics needs and any other tasks as assigned by the Communications Manager.

1. Good knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator);

2. Experience with Wordpress blogging and social media platforms;

3. Knowledge of the SSMU website, SSMU mandates and SSMU events and activities; 

4. Graphics and layout experience;

5. Integrity, good planning skills, interpersonal skills, a high degree of organization skills.
