Job Description
The job at a glance
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building innovative data products that help recruiters find the right talent. You will design and implement high-performance applications using Kafka, while collaborating with cross-functional international teams.
Working in the Data Products department, your work will directly power AI Search and ML models across multiple markets.

Your responsibilities
- Build and evolve data products that serve as the backbone for job listing data across Stepstone’s global platform
- Design and implement high-performance data pipelines using Kafka
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data engineering solutions
- Manage and improve ETL pipelines and data orchestration across a rich ecosystem of data sources
- Continuously improve and scale our data infrastructure to support a growing number of use cases and markets
Qualifications
Your skills and qualifications
- Proficiency in coding with Java
- Practical knowledge of Airflow or similar orchestration tools
- Experience working with Kafka (MSK)
- Strong knowledge of SQL
- Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing, and ETL
Nice to have / you may also bring:
Experience with AWS services (e.g. Glue, EMR, ECS with Docker, Redshift, DynamoDB, S3)
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
Strong communication skills in English (B2+ level)
A passion for data-driven solutions that make a real impact
