Job Description

To provide support, process activities and actions to develop roadmaps for a specific domain, such as business, data, security, cloud/infrastructure or technology. A junior data architect would focus on learning the data architecture landscape and supporting the development and maintenance of databases. Work closely with solution architects, business partners, and IT teams to ensure cohesive and integrated solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or related Degree 
  • Cobit/Togaf Certifications will be advantageous 

Additional Information

Experience: 

  • 5-7 years demonstrated experience in a domain architecture-based role. Strong knowledge of computers, networks, and various types of hardware.

Key Impact Areas:

  • Develop a good understanding of the specific portfolio (Business Unit) to identify areas of critical business need and prioritise risks. Engage with business stakeholders to gather and document their specific needs and expectations.
  • Document functional area architecture, roadmaps, processes and plans to support business from a specific domain perspective.
  • Continuously refine solution architectural views based on feedback from stakeholders. Avoid overly complex diagrams and models in order to provide clarity and simplicity.
  • Understand who the stakeholders are and what their concerns and requirements are in order to meet customer expectations and enhance the user-experience. Work closely with other architects and stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Remain abreast of industry best practices and participate in technical research, such as technology spikes and Proof of Technology (PoT) initiatives.
