Job Description

Supplier Quality Assurance Manager

As a Supplier Quality Assurance Manager, you are responsible for deploying and ensuring the effective execution of the Supplier Quality Assurance process within your scope, both during new product and process development and throughout the serial production lifecycle (product and process changes).

You ensure the achievement of QCDTE (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Technology, Environment) objectives and contribute to supplier quality risk management to guarantee project success, product compliance in serial production, continuity of operations across manufacturing sites, and customer satisfaction.

In this role, you lead and develop a team of Supplier Quality Leaders (SPQL & SMPQL) supporting both project and serial production activities, while being accountable for supplier quality performance across your perimeter.

Key Responsibilities

Team leadership and development

  • Lead a team of 10 Supplier Quality Leaders involved in both project and serial production activities;
  • Develop team capabilities, support professional growth, strengthen expertise, and promote autonomy while effectively supporting organizational change;
  • Define individual objectives and manage team performance;
  • Foster and maintain strong, sustainable collaboration among teams by promoting cooperation, accountability, and sound decision-making.

Supplier quality performance management

  • Own and ensure the achievement of QCDTE performance objectives for projects and suppliers within your scope;
  • Monitor supplier quality performance indicators, provide regular reporting, and participate in performance review meetings;
  • Define, implement, and oversee action plans required to achieve performance targets;
  • Assess the robustness of proposed QCDTE scenarios and proactively recommend improvements to secure project commitments.

Supplier Quality Assurance and Risk Management

  • Ensure deployment of the Supplier Quality Assurance process from development phases through serial production;
  • Participate in supplier project reviews and support teams in case of supplier underperformance or critical situations;
  • Be accountable for managing supplier non-conformities and ensuring the implementation of effective corrective actions;
  • Identify, assess, and manage quality risks that could impact projects, production, customers, or business continuity;
  • Participate in escalation processes, provide on-site supplier support when necessary, and manage quality crisis situations as required.

Continuous Improvement and Supplier Strategy

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Supplier Quality processes, methods, and tools.
  • Support the enhancement of supplier panel performance and maturity.

    Qualifications

    Minimum requirements:

    • 10 – 15 years of prior experience in experience in Supplier Quality (projects and/or serial production), industrialization, manufacturing, or project management;
    • 3-5 years of team management experience;
    • Good knowledge of Office Suite (Excel...);
    • Fluent professional English.

    Technical skills:

    • Quality tools and methodologies (APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, Audits, 8D Problem Solving);
    • Project management and new product development processes;
    • Process capability studies, statistical tools, and risk analysis methodologies;
    • Industrial challenges related to supplier performance.

    Additional Information

    Work relationships:

    Collaboration with multiple development centers, manufacturing sites, technical platforms across the Somfy Group and international supplier base.

    The position will answer to the Plant Quality Manager.
