Job Description
Solovis is looking for a results-oriented Sr. Technical Project Manager to join our technical product delivery team. As a technical project manager, you will work with both product management and our engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of our products. You will apply your knowledge of Agile development techniques to help plan and coordinate the development, testing and release of various products in our portfolio. We value teammates that can think beyond the prescriptive processes found in textbooks and certification exams, and, instead, look to observe and find the optimal solutions to our specific needs and challenges.
You will be responsible for working with multiple products and multiple engineering teams and will help mentor more junior project managers. Being able to able manage multiple streams of work in parallel is essential to success. You should be able to grasp both the business domain and the technical aspects of our business and our products—coming from a technical or developer background will be a major plus.

- Work with product and engineering teams to define and optimize software development processes
- Create delivery plans based on product roadmaps, business needs and realistic estimates provided by the engineering staff.
- Maintain project management tools and associated reports to ensure up-to-date information is available throughout the organization
- Manage, communicate, mitigate and resolve risks and issues related to the product development process
- Ensure that all parties involved in the product development process are accountable for the items to which they’ve committed.
- Lead, plan, and coordinate development “ceremonies” and meetings
- Coordinate testing and release activities with the appropriate teams
- Coach and mentor more junior project managers. Participate in the interviewing and hiring process as necessary.
- Help determine the most relevant KPIs that help shape overall team strategy and direction.
- Identify and manage dependencies and critical path.
- Proactively manage changes in scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in a technical field.
- Minimum four (4) years’ relevant experience, preferably in a product development environment.
- Experience leading project teams of 3-10 individuals.
- The ability and desire to understand the institutional investing domain
- Ideally, at least 2 years of hands-on technical or development experience.
- Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, PMP) a plus but not required
- Strong understanding of Agile development principles with the ability to tailor processes for a given situation.
- A proven track record of delivery success
- Experience presenting to executive level positions.
- Commitment to project success as it may require working unconventional hours during critical project phases.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to derive creative solutions to tricky problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience utilizing development process data to create reports and calculate key metrics.
- Highly organized, good time management skills and detailed oriented.
- Motivation and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Comfortable working with senior management, decision makers. Clear business acumen.
- Self-motivated and ability to grasp new concepts and technical skills quickly.
- Ability to handle multiple threads of work and to reconcile any conflicting priorities.
