Job Description

Solidigm is seeking talented and motivated graduate students for our Hardware, Electrical Validation & Product Engineering Internships in the United States. This evergreen posting supports multiple internship opportunities across electrical validation, hardware bring-up, signal integrity, SSD product engineering, and performance characterization.

As an intern, you will work on real engineering challenges supporting Solidigm's data center SSD products, including testing and validating hardware and system behavior, analyzing electrical and reliability data, and supporting product characterization.

This internship is ideal for graduate students who enjoy hands-on problem solving, using lab equipment, and analyzing complex data to help bring data center storage products from development through validation.

Key Responsibilities

Interns may be assigned one or more of the following responsibilities based on project needs, team priorities, and individual strengths:

  • Support validation and characterization of SSD hardware, components, interfaces, and platforms; execute test plans and verify electrical and functional requirements.
  • Assist with validation and debug of high-speed signals and interfaces such as PCIe, including signal-integrity, power-integrity, and interoperability investigations.
  • Use lab equipment—oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and automated test systems—to collect data and troubleshoot issues.
  • Validate SSD behavior in system environments; reproduce issues and analyze logs to support root-cause investigations.
  • Support product characterization of performance, power, thermals, and reliability; analyze trends and communicate findings.
  • Develop or improve test scripts, dashboards, and automation frameworks to improve validation efficiency and reporting.
  • Analyze benchmark, telemetry, and test-log data to identify trends, anomalies, or product risks.
  • Support technical analysis of SSD products, customer requirements, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional hardware, firmware, validation, and product teams; document test methods and findings.
