Job Description
Project – the aim you’ll have
Join a project delivered for a global leader in computer accessories and office equipment. You will work on firmware development for a new device, using Zephyr RTOS and implementing communication features based on LoRa and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The role involves hands‑on embedded development and close collaboration with engineering teams.
You will collaborate with a U.S.-based client, and some working hours may overlap with their time zone to support smooth communication and project delivery.
Position – how you’ll contribute
- Work with our clients’ systems, hardware/software development teams and engineers
- Participate in technical audits and reviews
- Review requirements for embedded systems, software and solutions
- Firmware architecture design
Additionally:
- Provide technical leadership for the embedded excellence center at Software Mind
- Evaluate new technologies and implement improvements
- Give technical support to the embedded projects sales process
Qualifications
Expectations – the experience you need
- Over 5 years’ experience in embedded C/C++
- Knowledge of firmware engineering processes and the full software/product development lifecycle
- Experience in development of drivers and/or protocol stacks and/or applications
- Good knowledge of communication protocols
- Experience with any RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr) and/or embedded Linux
- Experience with STM32 or NXP platforms
- Communication skills to collaborate with design, project management and customers
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Desire and ability to influence development and delivery process
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving, multi-cultural organization
