Job Description

Project – the aim you’ll have

We are looking for someone to join our team as a Business Analyst / Product Owner to support the development of digital products for clients in the travel and e-commerce industries. You will work in an environment that combines business, technology, and end-user needs, having a real impact on the product roadmap and the development of a globally scaled platform.

What is the challenge?

  • Defining the product vision in both the short and long term, and then translating it into concrete actions – from building solutions from scratch, through implementation, to continuous development and improvement.
  • Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and users to best understand their needs and expectations.
  • Working closely with the Product Manager on the vision, strategy, and product development.

Position – how you’ll contribute

  • Conducting business analysis, gathering and refining requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working with the Product Manager, UX Designers, and the development team to design and deliver solutions that meet real user needs.
  • Participating in market and user research conducted by the UX team and Business Owners – analysing results and translating them into functional requirements for the backlog.
  • Managing the product backlog – prioritising, defining business goals, and making decisions about what brings the most value to users and the organisation.
  • Being able to say “no” during prioritisation, while building relationships based on trust and understanding stakeholder needs.
  • Co-creating the product vision and development direction together with the Product Manager and Business Owners team.
  • Supporting solution prototyping – in collaboration with the UX/UI/Research team.

Qualifications

Expectations – the experience you need

  • You have at least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Product Analyst in a software house or IT environment.
  • You have a very good command of English at C1 level, allowing you to communicate fluently with international teams and stakeholders.
  • You understand the end-to-end software development process and feel comfortable working with developers, UX, and business – and you know that “it depends” is not an evasive answer, but the BA/PO way of life.
  • You can make decisions based on data and user research, and your favourite question is “What problem are we trying to solve?”.
  • You know how to prioritise tasks and clearly communicate the rationale behind business decisions – even if it sometimes means saying “not now” with a smile.
  • You build relationships with stakeholders at different decision-making levels, because you know that a roadmap is not just a list of tickets, but also a list of great conversations.
  • You like working in a culture of trust, openness, and collaboration – and you believe that a well-asked question is half the success.

Why is it worth it?

  • You will be part of an international project with real impact on the product roadmap – and as we know, a roadmap is much more than a colourful Gantt chart in PowerPoint.
  • At Software Mind, we value trust, independence, and initiative – if you want to develop your skills in Product Management, we will support you in that (and we won’t make you write user stories in Comic Sans).
  • You will work with great people, learn a lot from them – after all, teamwork makes the backlog work – and they will appreciate your analytical and communication skills.
