Within Western Australia, Sodexo is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and refurbishment of non-process infrastructure to clients within the mining and oil & gas sector. We are recruiting for an Asset Strategy Engineer to join our ever-growing Technical Services team based out of our head office in Balcatta. Reporting to and supporting out Technical Services Manager, this position is critical to our continued success of delivering world-class facility management solutions and services to our national client base.

Job Description

  • Assists in the development and reviews of maintenance strategies, and ensures strategies met statutory requirements, and are designed to preserve asset integrity.
  • Works closely with the Governance and Standards teams to ensure PM activities are updated as regulations and codes change.
  • Actively participates in Failure Mode Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA) reviews.
  • Identification of actions that will address root cause of failures and prevent the reoccurrence of an undesired events in between maintenance activities
  • Identifies and investigates corrective-related events and initiates action to prevent reoccurrence, and outlines desired corrective actions and method statement
  • Analyzes downtime, performance, condition and cost data and transform it into actions.
  • Seeks opportunities to incorporate proactive actions from diverse condition monitoring methods to improve asset condition and performance of critical / high consequence assets.
  • Identifies new technologies and practices to increase accuracy and efficiency of asset health monitoring.
  • Proposes asset reliability improvement initiatives and builds compelling business cases aligned with the business objectives.
  • Reviews annually the Building Maintenance Services Management Plan to ensure actions align with updates to contract requirements.
  • Maintains and updates the Asset Strategy / Asset risk matrix in alignment with business & client needs.
  • Accountable for continuous improvement of the Asset and Maintenance Management data bases
  • Identifies opportunities to maintain / improve Master Data to support the Maintenance process.

Qualifications

  • Reliability Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or qualifications in a similar field demonstrated through experience and training.
  • Sound understanding of Asset Life cycle management (ISO 55K)
  • Sound understanding of work management practices, master data management, and continuous improvement actions (Plan, Do, Check, Act)
  • Ability to professionally liaise with Sodexo management stakeholders, support centre and site teams
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to clearly and effectively articulate desired outcomes that maximize business value
