Job Description
Duties:
- Solve highly complex technical problems and deliver innovative, scalable solutions by implementing architectural patterns and design standards with minimal supervision.
- Champion efficient software development methodologies aligned with Agile and Lean principles, contributing hands-on to development and packaging critical software components.
- Drive implementation of DevOps practices, CI/CD platforms, and automation toolchains while embedding security, reliability, scalability, and performance considerations into development processes.
- Follow secure coding, packaging, and release practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), leveraging modern platforms, frameworks, and open-source technologies.
- Serve as a technical bridge between engineering, operations, and other teams to enable seamless deliveries and foster continuous learning and collaboration.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in modern platforms, frameworks, and tools, leveraging open-source technologies and open standards where appropriate to optimize cost and flexibility.
Qualifications
Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Linux system administration.
Essential Knowledge:
- Expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, Kubernetes, cloud-native platform engineering, and air-gap bridge architecture.
- Hands on experience in Service Mesh (ISTIO) and Kubernetes Composable CNIs (Cilium).
- Should have sound hands on working expertise in Networking (BGP)
- Hands of exposure on advance Linux administration.
- Proven experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated build and release processes.
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Backend proficiency in one or more of Golang, Python, Java, gRPC/REST.
- Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
- Proficiency in working on Linux environments, networking fundamentals, scripting, debugging, and performance troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of coding standards, version management (Git), build process, packaging (DevOps.)
- Good hands-on experience in writing helm charts, and deployment tools like ZARF
- Good hands-on experience with Argo CD and GitOps practices for automated application deployment and continuous delivery in Kubernetes environments.
- Proficiency in implementing secure coding standards, application security practices, and software quality assurance principles.
- Good hands-on experience with Software Defined Storage like Longhorn or S3.
- Good to have knowledge of Grafana, Loki, Tempo and Mimir database (LGTM stack) Full stack (Spring Boot & Angular) programming knowledge.
