STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Maintenance Mechanic to join the team. This position is responsible for repair and general maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, control wiring, conveyor systems,  HVAC systems, production machines and equipment. This position will also be responsible for general maintenance of the facility. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Job Description

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Completes maintenance requests via maintenance ticket system
  • Observes mechanical devices in operation to identify mechanical breakdown
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove and replace defective parts
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices
  • Lubricates and cleans parts
  • Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
  • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines
  • Repairs electrical equipment
  • Performs general building maintenance including, painting, replacing light bulbs, replacing filters, and maintaining the exterior of the building for safety hazards (ie, shoveling, identifying trip and fall hazards)
  • Performs and maintains records for preventative maintenance
  • Has knowledge of building security and grants after hours building access as requested
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications

Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:  5 Year minimum maintenance facility experience
