Job Description

The Position:

Support to the Sales Director, he/she is responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination of activities within the Sales Department and with the various departments of the company. He/She manages the process of validating Agent and Partner contracts, monitors their level of knowledge of the solutions provided by Smiths Detection, and supports the Sales team in managing the relationship with our distributors and agents.

As part of the SD Southern Europe & Africa (SE&A) commercial organization, the Sales Coordinator acts as the marketing reference; in close interaction with the global marketing and communication teams and possibly with our commercial partners, he/she undertakes all direct marketing actions to increase SD's market share in the SE&A region.

Always in close interaction with the Marketing and Communication teams, he/she ensures regular and targeted communication, both internal and external, to promote the brand image and commercial achievements. Finally, within the framework of the annual budget, he/she organizes the various commercial and marketing events for the SE&A region, in coordination with the Industry Marketing Managers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Management of Agent and Distributor Contracts (monitoring the approval process for renewals and new partners, preparing contracts, and coordinating with the SD Legal Department for signature follow-up)
  • Monitoring of Agents and Distributors to ensure they are aware of solution portfolio updates and the training (webinars) provided by SD. Potential organization of dedicated training sessions.
  • Management of SD's Participation in Certain Trade Shows in Europe and Africa (registration, orders, logistics, invitations, agenda), in coordination with Industry Marketing Managers
  • Organization and Management of Dedicated Communication Events, particularly the annual "Partner & Customer Event"
  • Weekly Management of Internal and External Communication Tools on behalf of the SE&A market, including social media posts via Global Communications
  • Ensure Informational Communication with Clients and Partners when Necessary
  • Coordinate with Marketing Managers to ensure the execution of direct marketing campaigns towards clients and partners as requested by the SE&A region.
  • Potential Execution of Customer Satisfaction Surveys, in coordination with other departments, with prior validation by the Marketing and Communications team
  • Assistance to the Commercial Director and KAMs
  • Follow-up and Provision/Printing of Existing Marketing Materials for use by sales teams (brochures, data sheets, roll-ups), management of the Commercial Department’s supply stock, and management of the goodies stock
  • Creation, Updating, and Publishing of Monthly Sales Dashboards
  • Management of Various Activities (Provision of Kbis and other administrative documents, follow-up on group requests/payments (Proavia, MEDEF, etc.), DA/PO of the Commercial Department, follow-up on fixed assets...)
  • Participation in the Monitoring and Updating of the "Sell and Contract" Commercial Process.

 

Qualifications

Required Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication (or at least a BTS)

Knowledge:

  • 10 years of experience in a similar role within a large international industrial group

Skills:

  •  Bilingual in English/French. A third European language is appreciated.
  •  Proficiency in basic SAP operations
  •  Basic knowledge of marketing databases and direct marketing tools (Hubspot)
