Job Description

The Senior Technical Business Analyst will be charged with analyzing the needs of the user base and business, creating solutions, and seeing ideation of that solution through to completion.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Leading the discovery phase of the solutions lifecycle by engaging multiple stakeholders and capturing their interests and needs, for both product and business areas
  • Utilizing your customer-experience focus and keen attention to detail to maintain an intimate understanding of user pain points, and propose the scope, spirit, and success criteria of new features, ensuring that proposed solutions and designs truly meet the needs and expectations of our users
  • Designing, clarifying, and testing business requirements for product owners, designers, and engineers, as well as provide other assistance as needed to support the SDLC and release process
  • Developing customer insights to drive acquisition, retention and cross/upsell strategies
  • Identifying business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solving for them not only by using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations, but also rolling up your sleeves to implement these recommendations
  • Supporting the Customer Success team with your extensive product expertise to troubleshoot production issues, serving as a liaison between the team and product owners, designers, and engineers as needed
  • Contributing to executive dashboarding, scorecarding,  and KPI reporting across all departments and business functions
  • Socializing new features and products both internally and externally
  • Conducting training and meetings with both internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

Successful Senior Technical Business Analyst will have at least 5+ years of experience with business analysis, working on teams delivering enterprise-level web-based products in a SaaS environment, including testing and troubleshooting custom or vendor applications.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Excellent SQL skills, strong enough to write a complex query
  • Excellent data analysis skills, with a focus on decision-driving analytics
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. Firebase, MongoDB, Neo4j) and their application in enterprise systems
  • Experience integrating third-party SaaS systems (e.g. UserVoice, ZenDesk, FireBase, Parse, Stripe, AWS products, etc.) into an existing enterprise product 
  • Experience designing and building KPI reporting, working with visualization software such as Grow, Tableau, or Kibana
  • Familiarity with how the emerging SaaS ecosystem affect build vs. buy decisions when it comes to adding features to existing enterprise products
