Bouchier is comprised primarily of Bouchier Contracting Ltd. and Bouchier Site Services Ltd., with its Head Office based in Fort McKay, Alberta and the Administrative Hub based in Fort McMurray. In operation since 1998, we provide a variety of services to the Athabasca Oil Sands Region and have a presence on many of the major Oil Sands Mine Sites. Job Description

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and maintain the Project Master Schedule, Plant Master Schedule, and various Area Coordination Schedules for the project
  • Monitor, review and analyze the schedule and status of The Bouchier Group’s contractors during all phases of the work, including the analysis of any schedule deviations and corrective actions
  • Provide support on ad hoc project work
  • Assist in Progress Reporting, Earned Value Analysis, and Performance Factor calculation.
  • Review and assist in developing schedules and work with staff to ensure plans are realistic and achievable
  • Summarize monthly progress information, manpower and commodity by rolling up contractor data
  • Review and analyze progress information to ensure systems and procedures are effective Provide support to the Project Manager and Project Team on all progress and scheduling issues
  • Assist in the preparation of schedules for Commissioning and Start-up
  • Complete analysis of schedule, progress and manpower data and provide recommendations for corrective action
  • Prepare Area coordination schedules

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in facilities management or a similar scheduling/planning capacity.
  • Engineering degree or other technical designation preferred.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail, follow-through, organizational, and discretionary abilities.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, personnel management, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • PC proficiency with demonstrated skills in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software preferred.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of:
    • Industry specific applications including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office
    • Project or Business Management principles and concepts
    • Working in an Oil Sands, mining, refining or project environment
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License an asset
  • Valid CSTS and OSSA (Oil Sands Safety Association) orientation would be an asset
  • All applicants must have the ability to speak, read and write fluently in English.
