The Bouchier Group is comprised primarily of Bouchier Contracting Ltd. and Bouchier Site Services Ltd., with its Head Office based in Fort McKay, Alberta. We are an Aboriginal owned and operated company that currently employs a workforce of more than 800 individuals.

In operation since 1998, we provide a variety of services to the Athabasca Oil Sands Region and have a presence on many of the major Oil Sands Mine Sites including Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (Horizon Oil Sands), Imperial Oil (Kearl Oil Sands Project), Suncor Energy Inc. (Fort Hills), Total E & P Canada (Joslyn North Mine), Shell Canada Energy (Shell Albian Sands), Husky Energy Inc. The Bouchier Group is one of the leading First Nations Companies with-in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo that provides construction, maintenance, and general site services.

• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
• Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
• Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
• Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• May prepare cost estimates.
• Assemble and install valves and fittings. Install, sinks, plumbing fixtures, appliances and trim
• Other duties as required

• Possess of journeyman ticket from a recognized post-secondary institution
• Ability to troubleshoot and rectify a large variety of operational problems
• A minimum of three years experience in an oilfield industrial environment / Industrial experience is preferred
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required
• Valid CSTS, OSSA (Oil Sands Safety Association) orientation and\or BSO (Basic Safety Orientation) would be an asset
• Good communication and reading skills
• Fall Arrest and AWP is an asset
• Experience working on a roof or at heights
• Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical and logical reasoning abilities
