Job Description

This role is responsible for leading the delivery and development of SmartRecruiters digital advertising offering. This role sits within our client-facing Talent Attraction team whose primary role is to generate high quality, relevant applications (candidates) for our customers by using digital advertising to raise awareness and drive performance of our customers' careers sites. 

The Digital Advertising Team Leader will be responsible for both our managed, programmatic, job advertising service, SmartJobs, and the delivery of Google advertising, both adwords and display campaigns. Where appropriate these two mediums should be combined for the benefit of our customers.

This role has one direct report, a senior digital advertising specialist.  This is critical role within the team and has four key areas of responsibility:

  • Customer satisfaction: Ensuring that the team provides insight and explanation for the results delivered and that customer expectations are managed and exceeded.
  • Renewals: All our customers are on a 12 month contract and the service provided by the team will have a direct impact on whether or not the customer renews their contract. While not directly responsible you will be able to influence the outcome of these contract renewals..
  • Development of our offering: While the role is primarily about delivering results to our customers it is still important to develop our advertising offering and this will be an important part of the role.
  • Development of delivery team and processes: Performance management of a team of advertising professionals to ensure they deliver a great service to our customers.

Key results within the role are:

  • Build strong relationships with customers so that they regard SmartRecruiters as experts in digital recruitment advertising.
  • Onboard new customers and set up the required tracking to be able to report on results effectively. Integrating  all data sources to gain comprehensive insights into the complete candidate journey, while also addressing tracking issues and fulfilling customer requests for additional tracking configuration.
  • Manage our programmatic media partners to ensure they are consistently improving campaign performance for our customers.
  • Work closely with Search Marketing colleagues to ensure that customers purchasing SEO, Content and Digital Advertising receive a world class service from the team and that insights and learnings from each customer are shared around the team.
  • Advise - Provide custom recommendations on budget allocation to our largest, strategic customers.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years people management experience
  • 4+ years experience with a recruitment or a digital advertising agency
  • 1+ year experience of optimizing and delivering programmatic advertising campaigns
  • 4+ years experience of optimizing and delivering Google Adwords and Google Display campaigns
  • Excellent understanding of Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics GA4, Google Ads, Google Search Console and Looker Studio
  • Strong digital job advertising knowledge (duration-based *and* performance-based media)
  • Experience of integrating Google Advertising with other Search Marketing tactics such as content marketing and search engine optimisation
  • Strong presentational and communication skills
  • Comfort with data analysis and reporting
  • Creativity and flexibility as we evolve and grow our advertising offerings
  • Business development/sales/account management experience
