Job Description

The Director of Product Marketing is responsible for driving the success of the company's product lines by defining and implementing SmartRecruiters product marketing strategy. 

Reporting to the SVP of Strategy, this individual will lead the product marketing team in a hands-on (player/coach) capacity and will work closely with the sales, marketing, and product management teams to ensure that the product is effectively positioned and marketed to target segments.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Developing the product marketing strategy and positioning for the company's SaaS software products
  • Ensuring that PMM programs and initiatives are running according to schedule
  • Managing and mentoring a team of PMMs
  • Reporting progress, problems, and plans up to executive leadership
  • Collaborating with the product management team to communicate and define the product roadmap
  • Working with the sales enablement team to develop effective training and materials
  • Developing and executing product launch plans (both GA and betas)
  • Managing the product marketing budget and ensuring that efforts are aligned with overall company goals
  • Conducting market research to understand customer needs and preferences, and using this information to inform product development and marketing efforts
  • Analyzing market trends and competition, and using this information to refine the product marketing strategy
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key industry partners, analysts, and influencers.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 4-5 years of experience in product marketing, with a demonstrable track record of learning and success. They should have a deep understanding of the B2B SaaS software space and be familiar with or ready to quickly understand the competitive landscape in the Talent Acquisition software market.

This is a senior-level position that requires a high level of expertise and experience in product marketing. The Director of Product Marketing will need to be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
