Job Description

Due to the acquisition of Attrax by SmartRecruiters we are expanding our content marketing team and you’ll be playing an important part of this continued expansion. This will be a role with lots of opportunities for growth in the future for someone with the right, flexible attitude. You will need to have an exceptional knowledge of spelling and grammar, proof of previous work in copywriting/PR and a keen eye for detail.

Part of your role will be to create high-quality content for clients which could take a variety of forms (copy, blogs, news, press releases, posts, social media content) and you will be working with our clients to distribute this copy across relevant platforms. This is an ideal role for a recent graduate with experience working in blogging, copywriting and ideally with an appropriate degree in English or Marketing. You’ll be writing about different types of industries, so the ability to quickly absorb knowledge and information will be very helpful. It would also be ideal to have experience in an online magazine or blog and an understanding of how social media sharing works. 

This role is part of the expansion of our digital marketing offering that spans SEO, content marketing and digital advertising. This is an opportunity to work with global brands such as Vodafone, SNC-Lavalin, Travis Perkins and Vision Express by supporting them in finding the top talent out there. SmartRecruiters Attrax is looking for analytical and inquisitive minds. An interest in the changing HR technology landscape is a big plus.

Accountabilities

  • Ability to take a brief from your clients and create content plans based on the client’s need and your own keyword research.

  • Ability to manage client feedback and revisions and thereby deliver content on time.

  • Working with clients to ensure all copy meets their organisations tone of voice.

  • Delivering SEO-optimised content for our clients by working closely with our Digital Marketing Executives.

  • Optimising existing content to enhance its Google visibility.

  • Delivering internal link building on-site to enhance keyword density and relevancy.

  • Researching articles to deliver great content ideas based on data and client brief.

  • Maintaining awareness of developments in digital content marketing.

Activities

  • Planning and delivering up to 15 pieces of content per month for our digital marketing clients.

  • Ensure all content is consistent and grammatically spot on.

  • Researching, writing and proofreading high quality digital content across a range of subjects, sectors and locations.

  • Writing client reports where applicable.

Qualifications

For the right candidate this is a brilliant opportunity to enter or progress in the world of online content marketing. You will be an individual who either enjoys engaging in social media or writes a personal or company blog. The role will be primarily based at SmartRecruiters offices in London.

  • Excellent written English including immaculate spelling and grammar.

  • Outstanding proof-reading skills – you will be tested on this and the above during the interview process.

  • You will need to be a competent and compelling writer, able to take on topics about a variety of topics and draw attention throughout the piece.

  • Ability to take on different writing styles.

  • Good organisational skills.

  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.

  • Happy to work as part of a team.

  • Self-motivated and able to organise own time.

  • Ability to research and absorb information on a variety of topics.

Skills & Experience

  • A proven track record in a copywriting, blogging, articles, PR or other writing roles, if possible, in a digital setting.

  • A basic understanding of how SEO and content marketing work together.

  • Experience of working with a website CMS is an advantage.

  • Some HTML experience would be an advantage.

  • Remaining calm under the pressure of tight deadlines.

Academic Requirements

  • 2:1 minimum in relevant degree, ideally English language focused although Marketing degree will also be considered.

  • An A in English Language A-Level would be a distinct advantage.
