Job Description

 

As a Software Engineer at Smart Recruiters Attrax, your primary responsibility will be the technical ownership and delivery of our backend client project work. This will include taking an active role in the entire software development life cycle, from design and planning through to implementation.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside our senior engineers to create new functionality and assist with the continued development of our product and platform, in line with our company’s technical and feature roadmaps.

You will work as part of a dynamic, engaged, and cross-functional development team, helping ensure we continue to deliver exceptional technical solutions and provide brilliant service for our stakeholders.

 

Skills and qualifications

Essential

  • .NET 6 (or similar such as .NET Core 3.1), 
  • Entity Framework
  • C# language and programming concepts
  • SQL
  • Proven record of writing clean maintainable code
  • At least two years of commercial software experience is required

 

Desirable

  • Azure services (Serverless, Service Bus)
  • Experience working with message queue systems and Event-Driven Architecture
  • CI/CD pipelines and automation tasks
  • Elasticsearch
  • Redis
  • Knowledge of automated test frameworks
  • ETL pipelines / processes
  • REST-based API experience
  • Software design patterns
  • Experience using New Relic (or similar APM software such as Datadog, App Insights, etc)
  • Experience working with version control systems using Git such as GitHub or Bitbucket
  • Previous experience working in a self-organizing agile development team

 

Accountabilities

  • To complete and assist with a range of backend development projects alongside the rest of the development team.
  • To work as part of our Scrum-based product development team alongside our senior engineers, contributing to the delivery of our feature roadmap and our continuous drive to improve and modernize our platform.
  • To provide backend development support to our delivery team members, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on client site systems and escalating issues appropriately where required.
