Job Description

The Search Marketing Consultant will be accountable for a number of paid advertising accounts. For the accounts for which you are responsible you will be accountable for delivering results against agreed performance objectives by executing an agreed plan of activity. This will include planning, implementation and monthly reporting while working closely with the rest of the Talent Attraction Team, led by the Talent Attraction Lead. 

This role is part of the expansion of our digital marketing offering that spans SEO, content marketing and digital advertising. This is an opportunity to work with global brands such as Vodafone, SNC Lavalin, Travis Perkins and Vision Express by supporting them in finding new staff through digital talent attraction strategies.

SmartRecruiters Attrax is looking for analytical and inquisitive minds with exceptional account management skills. 

This role will coordinate and execute a mixture of paid advertising, SEO and content marketing to drive the performance of our client’s websites. You’ll be working with award-winning project managers and marketers on strategically significant accounts, allowing you the opportunity to grow, but also put your own stamp on the service we deliver on behalf of our clients.

Accountabilities

  • Attaining a customer satisfaction level per client of 4/5 or equivalent.

  • Ensure that you understand the brief from your clients each month and deliver agaist agreed outcomes and KPIs

  • Demonstrating the value that SmartRecruiters Attrax delivers each month and illustrating progress against agreed performance objectives. This includes but is not exclusive to:

    • Increasing traffic month on month and year on year from Google, PPC, Google Display, Indeed and social media.

    • Improving the performance of paid media activity by driving high quality application for our customers.

    • Improving specific campaign performance month on month and year on year.

  • Keeping up to date and abreast of the latest developments in Google Adwords/Display so that innovative service recommendations can be made that clients agree to and act upon.
  • Managing all purchasing of media and keeping track of spend vs budget and adjusting campaigns accordingly

  • Understand how paid media fits in to the digital marketing mix and how SEO and content marketing can also help with the performance of paid campaigns. 

  • Delivering reports and recommendations that clients can understand and act upon.

Activities

  • Create and develop a paid advertising strategy for you given accounts. 

  • Monthly review and analysis of each client’s paid advertising. This includes but is not limited to the following:

    • Set up manage and optimise Google adwords and display campaigns for up to 10 clients

    • Writing and optimising website content and landing pages to improve the performance and quality score of campaigns

    • Performing extensive keyword, competitor and market analyses for your clients.

    • Set up and management of Google Display campaigns to promote content 

    • Onsite optimisation of meta tags on key pages

    • Ensure all tracking is in place and accurate

    • Well-presented monthly reports that include recommendations for continued improvement against agreed objectives.

  • To manage a portfolio of existing accounts and understand what success looks like for each client.
  • Be able to run effective review meetings with clients. This includes presenting results and explaining the work completed and its impact on the performance of the website

  • Actively managing and escalating any client delivery issues to the account manager or Talent Attraction Lead in a prompt and efficient manner.

  • Managing, delivering and reporting on successful Indeed campaigns, including consulting with clients, managing budgets and creating successful advertising.

  • Ensure that the agency CRM system is used and is up to date at all times.

  • Ensure all internal and external communications adhere to SmartRecruiters brand guidelines.

Qualifications

  • An advanced understanding of key tools such as SEM Rush, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio and Google Search Console.

  • The ability to explain technical issues in ways that non-technical clients can understand, and technical staff can implement.

  • An analytical and inquisitive mind that can spot trends and opportunities for our clients and proactively act.

  • A team player who shares their knowledge and delivers new ideas to the team that will benefit our clients.

  • A confident communicator at all levels.

  • Highly numerate.

  • A good command of the English language, both in written and spoken form.

  • Obsessive attention to detail.

  • Hunger for success.

  • High levels of commercial awareness and commercial acumen.

  • Intermediate use of Microsoft Excel and a confident user of Microsoft Power Point.

Experience

  • This is a client facing role, and as such, you will have experience working with clients and effectively managing their expectations against agreed business objectives. You’ll know when to push back and when to accept constructive criticism. 

  • 2-4 years’ experience working in an advertising/digital/PR agency and managing your own clients.

  • Experience working with industry-standard SEO tools is essential. For example, SEM Rush, Advanced Web Ranking, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console

  • An excellent understanding of where SEO fits into the digital marketing mix and its relationship with content marketing and paid advertising.

  • Experience establishing internal relationships to ensure the business meets and exceeds customer expectations.
