Job Description

We are now looking for a Junior Data Quality Assurance Analyst to join our AI team that builds innovative, data-driven decision support services for recruiters. You will be helping our data scientists to evaluate their machine learning models and classifiers by chasing down shortcomings and defects. You will be building up domain knowledge in recruiting and HR tech to systematically analyse how we can better support our recruiter customers. You will own data vocabularies underlying our data science solutions, constantly and proactively strive to perfectionize them.

As soon as you land at SmartRecruiters, we’ll be relying on your expertise to:

  • evaluate machine learning predictions and identify opportunities for improvements

  • curate and extend our data vocabularies such as educational degrees, institutions, skills, etc

  • analyse and categorize customer feedback and provide conclusions to our data science team

  • manual and semi-automated evaluation of classifier and machine learning model results

  • identify and check statistical outliers in data sets

  • help our data science team build up test data sets

  • help automating or supporting QA activities with scripts and interfaces


You might be a great fit if this applies to you:

  • high resilience and ability to focus on repetitive, non-trivial tasks for extended periods of time

  • completed studies in an IT or HR related field, and genuine interest in the HR tech space

  • previous work experience in data analysis and QA

  • ideally, experience with screening CVs or other exposure to recruiting tasks

  • ideally, experience with scripting languages, machine learning, text processing

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, additional languages a plus

  • self-driven and ambitious, able to produce quality work with little supervision
