The Head of Communications will lead all aspects of SmartRecruiters PR and communication strategy and execution, in alignment with our overarching marketing strategy. Reporting to the CMO, she/he works closely with the executive leadership team to craft a cohesive, consumer-facing narrative and drive its delivery through channels such as news/PR, social, editorial (blog), speaking engagements, influencer relationships, etc. A seasoned communications leader, she/he will drive impact, proactively leveraging a broad set of media touchpoints to maintain and extend SmartRecruiters prominence in the public dialogue.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Conceptualize and implement an external communications strategy that successfully raises SmartRecruiters public profile including but not limited to partnerships, social, customer announcements.
Ideate and drive consistent and compelling storytelling that leverages the assets and stories of our brand, product advances and key executives to prominently drive awareness of SmartRecruiters vision and products. Help editors and writers interpret data and tell a story.
Successfully raise SmartRecruiters profile at major industry events and conferences through speaker submission and analyst/ press outreach.
Oversee the editorial team and support them in audience building, topic selection, and voice.
5+ years of experience using strategic communications and public relations to create a differentiated brand. Ideally having managed a high performance team.
Experience in building and executing media stories and campaigns.
Proven ability to create and utilize strong media and key influencer relationships to drive results; experience working with journalists, broadcast and online channels.
The ability to create and implement campaigns on social media that touch a varied set of demographics including customers, prospects, and influencers while telling a cohesive story and building audience engagement.
Love of the written word and keen attention to detail (the kind of person who has strong opinions on the use of the Oxford comma and frequently identifies typos in newspapers and novels).
Initiative; ability to learn new skills and information quickly, and to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work cross-functionally is a global, distributed environment.
