Job Description

The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) focuses on arming teams with thought-leading industry content, product marketing collateral, and compelling success stories to attract prospects, turn prospects into customers, and customers into raving fans.

 

The PMM will report to the team lead, developing a strategic narrative that focuses on the customer experience within the SmartRecruiters platform to impact both pre- and post-sales opportunities.  Operating as one part content strategist and one part solutions marketer, the PMM will effectively articulate product value as well as bolster SR's role as a subject matter expert in the industry.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop thought leadership and product-oriented content for businesses across target segments and industries

    • Help set the content strategy and format for distribution via our website, blog, campaigns and/or the Sales team

    • Be the heart and mind of our content engine; take our core narrative and expand into varied, creative, and compelling stories

    • Articulate complex technical and product concepts in simple terms that make sense to customers in HR industry language
       

  • Be the primary PMM interface for marketing (demand gen, campaign, web), partnering to develop top-of-funnel resources that are clear, approachable, and helpful

    • Work with Demand Gen team on webinar content, infographics, how to guides, ebooks, whitepapers, etc. that articulates the value of our product
       

  • Support competitive intel program by partnering with Product, Sales Engineering, and Enablement to cross-pollinate industry knowledge and differentiators.

 

  • Partner with Product to understand their strategy and roadmap; develop assets that support winning product launches

 

  • Become an industry expert by understanding how our products are positioned today in the industry and mapping towards the future ideal state

    • Shadow sales reps and customer success managers on calls/meetings

    • Leverage findings to inform positioning strategies, identify product gaps, and influence tactics

    • Stay agile, transitioning from high-level strategic direction to creative thinking and detailed execution

Qualifications

  • You have 3-5 years experience in product marketing, marketing, communications, and/or business content writing

  • You are inquisitive and adept at uncovering insights via primary and/or secondary research

  • You are a fast and strong writer / storyteller, and can form compelling arguments

  • You are tech savvy, able to distill value proposition and benefits from a complex technology platform

  • You are a critical thinker and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in HR technology and/or B2B Saas industries preferred
