As the Information Security Officer you will be responsible for the following areas:

• Perform risk and cost benefit analyses to determine appropriate levels of security controls;
• Create and revise information security policies and standards documents ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives;
• Evaluate internal and external IT systems used in the organisation to ensure compliance with privacy and information security policies and procedures;
• Monitor the operating effectiveness of key controls related to information security;
• Monitor and investigate complaints of non-compliance;
• Drive ISO 27001 and SOC-2 related efforts;
• Participate in SmartRecruiters Security Forum;
• Develop and implement information security awareness training throughout the organisation;
  

• Demonstrated experience in information technology security, including performing assessments, developing policies, monitoring compliance, and maintaining best practices;
  
• Knowledge and understanding of web operating environment including web servers, HTTPS protocol, Java environment, and web applications security;
  
• Knowledge and understanding of network topologies, firewalls, protocols, network access, data  transmission, remote access, and vulnerability scanning;
  
• Knowledge of monitoring solutions in order to measure the security functions and identify violations;
  
• CISA, CISSP certifications - a plus;
  
• Solid experience in IT and information security;
  
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements including participating in audit teams/process
  
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience in developing business and operational processes
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to give presentations and translate complex technical concepts
• Team player
• Ability to operate in a fast paced, ever changing work environment
