Job Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create a significant impact on our business & most importantly our customers through your technical expertise on data as we take on challenges that can reshape the financial experience for the next generation. What You will do

  • Develop and maintain the company's data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and data pipelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and design solutions to meet business needs.
  • Develop and implement best practices for data governance, data quality, and data security.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Analytics teams to assist in Schema Designing, Normalization of Databases, Query optimization etc.
  • Work with AWS cloud services: S3, EMR, Glue, RDS, Athena, Airflow
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure the timely and accurate ingestion of data.
  • Manage and monitor performance, capacity and security of database systems and regularly perform server tuning and maintenance activities
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and apply them to the company's data architecture.
  • Identify, design and implement internal process improvements; optimising data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, data archival
  • You’ll be responsible for taking a lead on the data projects backed by solid data points and facts.
  • You’ll be responsible for managing and guiding the data team towards the company’s goal
  • Plan and drive the roadmap.

Qualifications

  • 9+ years of experience in senior technology-based data delivery, architecture, or similar leadership roles
  • Strong experience in Data Platform/Data Engineering like Big Data, Business Intelligence and Cloud (Azure or AWS)
  • Functional capabilities - Requirement gathering, team handling, Program delivery, Project Management (Project Estimation, Scope of Project, Agile methodology).
  • Strong experience in working with large, heterogeneous datasets in building and optimizing data pipelines, pipeline architectures, and integrated datasets using traditional data integration technologies. such as  ETL/ELT, data replication/CDC, message-oriented data movement and upcoming data ingestion and integration technologies such as stream data integration and data virtualization.
  •  Experienced in agile methodologies and capable of applying DevOps and increasingly DataOps principles to data pipelines to improve the  communication, integration, reuse and automation of data flows between data managers and consumers across an organization 
  • Master expertise in database systems, data engineering, APIs, and public cloud technologies and patterns 
  • Proficiency in SQL, data warehousing, and big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka. 
  • Orchestration and ETL experience
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong business acumen, relationship-building, and superlative communication skills 
  • Thrives when challenged; able to backup viewpoints with facts and achieve a compromise 
  • Strong experience in people management is required.
