Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help us build functional systems that improve customer experience. Senior Reliability Engineer responsibilities include deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet customer needs. Ultimately, you will execute and automate operational processes fast, accurately and securely.

Responsibilities:

  • Design cloud solutions that ensure secure, sustainable, flexible and cost-appropriate solutions.
  • Consult with project teams to develop a solution design which is compliant with the architecture and standards of the company and follows industry best practices.
  • Ensure successful execution of IT strategies, architecture guidelines, and standards and guide project teams through the technology selection and architecture/security governance processes
  • Manage and maintain the Cloud DevOps pipeline, and work with dev teams on a combined pipeline. Look for opportunities to optimize and enable consistent automated deployments.
  • Define new patterns and standards as required.
  • Lead technology evaluations and implementations to fill gaps in the Technology Architecture.
  • Monitor standards/policy compliance by developing and executing governance processes and tools.
  • Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to others, and promote open culture and DevOps.
  • Model a culture that improves the organization's comfort with the speed of change, challenging assumptions, and relentless pursuit of improvement - all with a high sense of personal accountability.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in the field
  • Bachelor's degree in the computer science field
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience on AWS/GCP
  • Detailed understanding of Linux, strong expertise in networking and security.
  • Expertise in one or more web server technologies (nginx, apache etc)
  • One or more DevOps, orchestration/configuration Management and CI technology (eg. Chef, Puppet, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible etc)
  • Expertise in shell scripting (python/Ruby will be good to have)
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols like HTTPS, DNS, TCP/IP
  • Expertise in GIT

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience in managing full application stacks, from configuring OS up through custom applications.
  • Programming experience (Bash/Python/Javascript/Java)
  • Through an understanding of VPN technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with iptables and Snort
