Job Description

Position Title: Assistant Manager Maintenance - Instrumentation

Reporting to: Manager Maintenance

Department: Operations

Location: Jhagadia, Bharuch

Overview:
Overall responsible for repairs and maintenance of Plant & equipment.


Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Knowledge of PLC required for this roll.
2. Responsible for all Electrical repair jobs related to process equipment, packing machines & material handling
systems.
3. Responsible for breakdown and preventive maintenance of all the equipment.
4. Responsible for Engineering spares control & maintenance.
5. Responsible for Implementation of 5S and OEE in his area.
6. Responsible for third party follow up for repairs, spares and AMC
7. Responsible for handling & repairs of electrical machines.
8. Housekeeping & Safety of equipment.
9. Incident reporting & RCA.
10. Machine History card.
11. Familiar with work permit system and have strong hold to use permits on the job.
12. Interdepartmental Co-ordination.
13. Supporting in execution of Improvement CAPEX jobs and other new Projects

Qualifications/Experience:
Diploma/BE in instrumentation Engineering. 4 to 6 Years in similar role

Competencies

Functional
 Preventive maintenance and Break down maintenance
 Aware of latest maintenance techniques like condition monitoring etc.
 General maintenance competencies like Alignment, fabrication, welding, erection, noise and vibration
 Spares management and workshop tools management
 Execution of Project right from conceptualization to commissioning
 Allocation & planning of resources (People)
 Knowledge of WCM (TPM, ISO 9001,14001, OHSAS -18000)
 Conversant with various PLCs, SCADA, HMI, VFD, power circuits
 Knowledge of Hydraulics & Pneumatics
 Engineering knowledge on electrical equipment like HT/LT circuits, motors, starters, MCCs etc.
 Capable of doing root cause analysis of various problems in maintenance.
 Good IT skills
 Conversant with local labour laws, environment laws & factory act.
 Knowledge of basics of costing & a good negotiator
