CUSTOMER
Our Customer is developing a modern revenue and reporting platform tailored for finance and accounting teams. The product operates with business-critical financial data where precision, scalability, and reliability are essential. The company focuses on helping organizations optimize financial operations through robust reporting systems and scalable backend services.
PROJECT
The project focuses on enhancing the Revenue & Reporting platform by expanding backend engineering capacity and improving scalability, maintainability, and reliability of financial systems. The team develops business-critical services handling complex financial calculations, reporting workflows, and data processing pipelines. This is a backend-focused environment where engineers take ownership of features from architecture and implementation through testing and production delivery.

Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using TypeScript
- Take ownership of features and projects from design through implementation, testing, and deployment
- Build scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions for revenue and reporting systems
- Collaborate with Product Managers, QA Engineers, and developers to deliver reliable software
- Design and optimize database queries and data models
- Troubleshoot production issues and resolve complex technical challenges
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Ensure smooth handoffs to QA by delivering well-tested, production-ready code
- Communicate proactively with distributed team members and work independently in a remote environment
- Contribute to backend architecture and scalability improvements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript with deep backend expertise
- Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Experience using ORMs, preferably Prisma
- Understanding of software architecture principles and scalability strategies
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices
- Strong ownership mindset with ability to independently drive projects end-to-end
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in distributed remote teams
- Upper-Intermediate English level or higher
WILL BE A PLUS
- Experience with NestJS
- Experience with Turborepo
- Familiarity with monorepo environments such as pnpm
- Experience with React or Next.js
- Experience working with financial or reporting platforms
- Experience operating in high-ownership engineering environments
