Job Description

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Finance Manager to lead the complete finance function of bluesign® (CHF 25M revenue business). This is a key leadership role partnering closely with the CEO and supporting business growth, operational excellence, and strategic decision-making.

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, compliance, internal controls, performance analysis, and business partnering. You will play a critical role in driving profitability, managing risk, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring alignment with SGS Group standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Governance

  • Lead the full finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, business planning, accounting, and auditing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, SGS policies, and accounting standards.
  • Manage internal controls, risk management, provisions, accruals, and working capital.
  • Review CAPEX proposals and investment opportunities.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Prepare financial presentations for Board and Shareholder meetings.

Business Partnering & Performance Management

  • Partner with operational and commercial leaders to support business decisions.
  • Provide financial insights on profitability, pricing, investments, and growth opportunities.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Drive performance monitoring and support delivery against budgets and targets.
  • Challenge and support stakeholders through data-driven financial analysis.

Strategy & Transformation

  • Support the CEO in executing strategic priorities and growth initiatives.
  • Contribute to acquisitions, due diligence, and integration activities.
  • Lead the finance workstream of key business and transformation projects.
  • Translate corporate objectives into actionable finance strategies and plans.
  • Support deployment of SGS Group projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior finance leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading a complete finance function.
  • Experience within a multinational organization; matrix environment experience is advantageous.
  • Strong expertise in financial accounting, controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Experience working with shared service centers.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and ERP platforms; experience with Hyperion, HFM, and Oracle is an advantage.

Education

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Swiss Chartered/Certified Accountant qualification is highly desirable.

Languages

  • Fluent in English, German or French.
