Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Burton, SA. In this role, you will assist by providing support and advice on activities necessary to achieve the company’s objectives and meet critical deadlines.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
- The Implementation of SGS Policies in relation to the job at hand.
- Customer satisfaction in relation to the job they are performing.
- Carry out repairs on equipment to a high standard as required.
- Perform preventative maintenance to SGS equipment as required.
- Prepare equipment for project load outs with attention to detail.
- Complete maintenance records, job cards and fault reports as required.
- Work with the SGS SharePoint system to obtain and record documentation.
- Prepare equipment for freight and receive incoming freight to the SGS facility.
- Liaise with logistics providers to facilitate freight movements as required.
- Perform stock takes of equipment and contribute to re-stocking.
- Contribute to procurement of minor equipment, parts and consumables.
- Operate forklift as required to facilitate day to day activities.
- Ensure that all work carried out is SGS Company Policy as well as confirming to government regulations.
- To report all near misses and hazardous situations to the Supervisor / Manager.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- An understanding of, and willingness to contribute to, Quality Systems.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and attending training courses to support professional development.
- A proactive approach to promoting safe and positive decision-making.
- Computer literacy and experience using computer-based systems.
- A current Senior First Aid Certificate.
- A current Forklift Licence.
