Job Description

We are supporting a major semiconductor project in Dresden and is seeking experienced Bulk Chemical Commissioning Engineers to join the commissioning team. These roles will focus on the commissioning, validation, and start-up of bulk chemical systems within a highly regulated semiconductor manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute commissioning activities for bulk chemical and chemical distribution systems
  • Perform system checks, inspections, and functional testing in line with project specifications
  • Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases
  • Review and complete commissioning documentation (ITRs, check sheets, procedures)
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, and vendor teams
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards and semiconductor cleanroom protocols
  • Assist in troubleshooting and system optimisation during start-up
  • Support handover and system acceptance processes

Qualifications

Candidate Requirements Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in commissioning bulk chemical systems
  • Strong background in industrial or process plant commissioning
  • Experience with chemical distribution systems, storage, and transfer systems
  • Ability to work within structured commissioning procedures and documentation systems

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in semiconductor (fab) environments - highly preferred
  • Experience in high-purity or specialty chemical systems
  • Knowledge of cleanroom operations and contamination control

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Bulk chemical systems (e.g. acids, solvents, specialty chemicals)
    • P&IDs and process diagrams
    • Commissioning procedures and safety protocols
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability
  • Good communication and coordination skills
