Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Infrastructure and Building Business Development Manager, you are responsible for generating sales leads and driving revenue through prospecting, acquiring, developing and expanding business leads to achieve short- and long-term revenue and profit growth.
You will be proactive and utilize the appropriate processes depending on the situation or customer need; determines priorities, establishes a systematic course of action to ensure successful completion of business development, in close co-operation with the affiliates local sales and operations.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In conjunction with the business & Country strategy, identify, develop and implement new opportunities in existing or new markets to grow the business for assigned countries including.
- Participate in the go-no go decision for new projects/markets in co-operation with management
- Build a strong pipeline of relevant opportunities to deliver against sales targets and ensure KPI's are met
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of our product by working closely with regional, country and local representatives and your peers
- Continuously manage customer satisfaction and follow through on opportunities to cross-sell
- Develop and maintain a proficient understanding of SGS's offerings as well as competitor's offerings
- Support marketing programs for brand development, market awareness, market positioning and market demand
- Develop team(s) & leaders ensuring that resources are made available for growth
- Develop and communicate strategies to establish partnerships and business relationships to market products and services
- Support management & operations in dealing with negotiations, bids, contract development acquisitions and budgeting
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, finance, operations and legal in the development and implementation of strategies, plans and business models
- Network with key players
- Participate in the annual budget planning process
- At all times, adopt a safe behavior by exercising due regard for the health and safety of SGS employees and clients, in line with SGS policies and procedures
- At all times, comply with health and safety procedures and policies and supervisor all health and safety activities for within the business
- At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct
Qualifications
EDUCATION :
- University or Master degree Master Degree preferably an Engineer (BSc) or equivalent
- specialized in sales and business development of B2B Services companies;
EXPERIENCE :
- 3-5 years’ experience in the industry
- Practical experience with large Industrial projects, preferably as a project manager and a strong personal network
- Basic understanding of NDT and testing methods
- Industrial inspection, QA/QC and supply chain management
- Quality requirements within the Industry
COMPETENCIES:
- Fluent in English and French
- Business acumen
- Ability to develop strategies and to translate them into pragmatic and action plans
- Ability to act independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneously
- Excellent comuunication, planning, organizational and project management skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of management
