The Role
To achieve SEEKs growth ambition, the Growth Team are focussed on developing new commercial models and incremental revenue from adjacent growth opportunities. This team is made up of Initiative Leaders (Growth Managers, Partnerships Manager), an Operations and Analytics team (GOAT) and a Sales and Customer Engagement Team (Growth Executives)
Reporting to the Growth Operations Manager, the Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting initiative leaders (Growth Managers, Partnership Managers) to explore, validate and execute strategies that drive new sources of revenue for SEEK. The role will work within the Growth Operations and Analyst Team, to design operational processes for experiments and develop reporting of key performance metrics.
Your role will have high exposure and learning through cross-functional collaboration. You will have the opportunity to build your commercial acumen and be part of the transformation of growth initiatives, from the idea stage, to building a minimum viable product, and then onto scale. You will work on a dynamic range of initiatives in spurts, each of which have different data requirements.
To be successful, you will need to:
- Be adept at managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Adapt to frequent change and ambiguity
- Find creative and often hacky solutions involving manual processes
The Team
The Data Analyst is part of the Adjacent Revenue Development Team, within the broader Commercial Growth Team. This is a passionate, collaborative group of colleagues, with key responsibilities across pricing, monetisation and commercial management. The Data Analyst will need to work closely with others in this team, as well as in Marketing, Sales, Analytics, and Product to drive growth outcomes from SEEK.
Job Description
- Provide analytics support for initiative valuation: initial sizing (explore)
- Build and maintain reporting of key marketplace metrics to facilitate opportunity sizing, prioritisation, and experiment planning.
- Utilize BI tools for reporting and data visualisation
- Identify and generate sales leads: lead identification & maintenance
- Assist initiative lead (Growth Manager, Partnership Manager) in planning for and generating targeted sales leads
- Develop operational processes and analytics capabilities with operations team
- Develop and drive performance reporting for Growth initiatives: operational design for ROI/sales motion
- Partner with initiative lead (Growth Manager) and operations team to design reporting of key metrics consistent across ANZ Growth experiment sales funnel and performance reporting.
- Assist in defining, validating, and analysing initiative assumptions with experiment results data.
- Support incubation of validated initiatives, assess data impact to business.
- Support the development of data ‘best practice’ for ANZ Growth: collaboration, analytical efficiencies.
- Identify opportunities for analytical efficiencies
- Document repeatable processes
- Assess quality of data, profiling, remediating and cleansing data
Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years’ experience as an analyst
- Able to use data hosted on large scale data platforms (both DWH/relational databases and AWS/Azure).
- Understands how to clean, join, and manipulate data using SQL to undertake analysis
- Experience working with BI and visualisation tools (eg, Tableau, Power BI)
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Demonstrable experience in providing analysis and finding actionable insights
- Experience in presenting insights & data to broad range of audiences
- Ownership and drive to deliver outcomes working with cross functional and cross market teams
- Capable of managing multiple and shifting priorities whilst delivering to tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience leveraging AI tools in your work or personal life, and a strong interest in continually expanding your AI knowledge and skills
- Innovator, comfort working with ambiguity and problem solving
